We've all been there. When your concealer just isn't cutting it. Some are too dry, some are too liquidy, some oxidise, some settle into those unwanted lines & some just don't want to blend. I've used MAC's Pro Longwear Concealer in NC15 for the best part of 2015 and it is the best concealer I had ever used, until now. I'd heard nothing but praise for the new kid on the block ‘Urban Decay's Naked Skin Concealer‘ so I decided to see for myself what all the fuss was about.

After Googling shade swatches, I went for Fair/Neutral – the lightest shade in the range (no surprise there then). The packaging is 1000000% better than MAC's. The pump on the Pro longwear concealer always dispensed way too much so you usually wasted a lot of product with each use (I could literally see my money go down the drain). However, the Naked Concealer comes in a tube with a doe foot applicator – much more Rosie friendly.

Now onto the formula itself. MAC's concealer is industrial strength, it will cover anything up but the consistency is quite thick so you need to be careful in not using too much and getting cake face. It does settle into fine lines, even with powder but not as much as other concealers I have used in the past. The one main niggle I had with this, is that it tends to separate on me from my foundation as it's quite drying. After a long day at work, I'd look in the mirror and I could see exactly where I had put the concealer in the morning as it had disintegrated and sat weirdly on top of my foundation. Although UD's concealer gives just as good coverage, it feels very light on the skin – weightless almost and lives up to it's ‘Naked Skin' name (fancy that, a company making a product that actually does what it says on the tin!).

You can clearly see in the picture below that MAC's has dried almost instantly whereas UD's hasn't.

I want to thank the people at Urban Decay for the colour of ‘Fair/Neutral' as although I am fair, I don't tend to swing towards cool or warm tones and this shade is slap bang in the middle. Baud (final prototype) mac os. The concealer blends well, stays put, and has minimal creasage – what's not to like?

So if you're in the market for a new do-it-all concealer, I would seriously recommend you look into this.
